The 2024 Edition of the AISSR Harvest day included keynote lectures by Prof. Joyeeta Gupta on climate change, Prof. Francio Guadeloupe on doing ethnography without race, and Prof. Ursula Daxecker on political identities in conflict.
It also covered presentations and discussions on six books, including my Calling Family on transnational care (available open access!), Prof. Sarah Bracke on population replacement conspiracy theories, Prof. Jeroen Bruggeman on the history of humankind, Prof. Brian Burgoon on geopolitics, Prof. Hein de Haas on migration, and Prof. Marcel Hanegraaff on global advocacy.
